My dear Esselde,
How're you my dear? Hope you're doing well. I'm also OK here.
Dear, I am writing this letter to share an important matter with you. I hope you knew that I won the Nobel Prize for Literature this year. I know that like my father and mother, you also wanted me to get this honor. Now I'm really overwhelmed with a mixture of emotions. My heart is filled with gratitude to everyone who wished and prayed for my success and good future. First of all I'm deeply thankful to my parents who shaped my life. My father will have been happy from heaven that I have won the Nobel Prize.
Dear Esselde, how can I repay your debts? You tried to open doors for me when no one dared to believe in me. I am greatly indebted to my readers too . And most of all, I am indebted to the Academy for their trust in me to give this honour. Once again I gave my heart full thankings to you dear.
I am concluding my letter by expecting that you will come to see me soon. Expecting your favourable reply. Convey my warm regards to all your friends and family.
Yours lovingly,
Selma Lagerlof
